I know I’ve been MIA and everyone is wondering about the new series—the truth is life got in the way (in the best possible way). As you may remember, I fell in love with a Scot while doing book research for the new Scotland series—yes, that really happened to me—the result of this insane, storybook romance is that . . . I MOVED TO SCOTLAND.

OK, so I went away for a while . . . in truth, I needed to recharge my creative energies and do some research abroad so that, hopefully, I can continue to write stories that make you feel like you’re right there with me. I said goodbye to my normal everyday life and said yes to some exhilarating adventure . . . Mags would have been so proud! I took my mother on a whirlwind trip of a lifetime to Rome, Tuscany, Paris, and then finished off with a road trip through Ireland. . . .

I’ve had a couple of readers ask me where I got my inspiration for all the Châteaus in The Paris Apartment.  There is no straight forward answer to this question. The houses I saw and wrote about in the book come from my own travels, from living in France, from more recent visits . . .

So my entire life I’d always been attracted to all things Irish. The music . . . the dancing . . . green, and when I was old enough, liquor. My mother never knew her father. And when I say never knew, I don’t mean, she never met him. I mean my grandmother never told anyone who he was. Over the years my family and I developed theories about where he might have been from.

That’s right ladies–I’ve got your romantic hero right here. Meet Connor Bannon star of The Irish Cottage . . . you’re welcome. What’s that? Sorry, did you say something? I just got lost in Connor’s sapphire blue eyes for a minute . . . or ten.
